Davey Todd on pole for Macau Grand Prix

New FHO Racing rider takes top spot in qualifying

Davey Todd has claimed pole position for this year's Macau Motorcycle Grand Prix.

The 29-year-old - who officially joined the FHO Racing earlier this week - set the fastest pace in qualifying at two minutes, 25.563 seconds.

He'll be joined on the front row by Finnish TT competitor Erno Kostamo who was second quickest (two minutes, 25.820 seconds) whilst defending champion and Todd's teammate Peter Hickman was third fastest (two minutes, 26.155 seconds).

FHO Racing - who claimed victory in their debut as a team at the meeting in 2023 - fill three of the top four grid places with Michael Rutter also impressing again in fourth.

He'll be joined on row two by two fellow TT riders - Rob Hodson in fifth and Paul Jordan in sixth.

Elsewhere, local Isle of Man competitors Michael Evans and Marcus Simpson qualified eighth and 12th respectively.

All riders took part in back-to-back free practice and qualifying following two days of cancellations to motorcycle sessions due to a combination of poor weather conditions and delays in other classes.

The 56th Macau Motorcycle Grand Prix over 12 laps is due to get underway at Midnight UK time on Sunday, 17 November.
