
Manx competitor takes third in women's time trial
Young Manx cyclist Ruby Oakes has taken the first medal for Team Isle of Man at the 2023 Commonwealth Youth Games.
Competing in the women's time trial today (5 August) Oakes has secured bronze in a time of 14 minutes 43.91 seconds.
Gold and silver went to Australia with Lauren Bates taking the win in 14 minutes 9.01 seconds whilst her teammate, Keira Will took second in 14 minutes 31.89 seconds.
Isle of Man's Tyler Annis will be involved in the men's time trial event this afternoon which is due to start at 4pm.
