Fellow Manxman Tom Mazzone confirms departure from team
Isle of Man pro cyclist Max Walker has become the latest Manx addition to UCI team Saint Piran.
He joins the Cornwall-based outfit after three years with Trinity Racing with the team saying some of his 'impressive' results this campaign have 'captured our attention'.
Among his highlights this campaign were a second-placed podium spot in the British National Road Championships Men's Under-23 Time Trial for Trinity Racing.
He also earned a top-ten finish for Great Britain in the Men's Under-23 Road Race at the UCI World Championship in August.
It means he'll link up with fellow riders from the Isle of Man Leon Mazzone and Tyler Hannay.
Walker's told Saint Piran he's 'eager to get started' and hopes the squad can help his ambitions to reach World Tour level in 2025.
Meanwhile, fellow Island-born competitor at Saint Piran, Tom Mazzone has announced he's leaving the team after a three-year spell.
Mazzone says 'he's enjoyed the good times but equally some of the most difficult', adding he's 'excited for what 2024 has in store.'
