Minay and Hutchinson also impress in the Netherlands this week

Isle of Man youth cyclist Tommy Bass has claimed silver at this year's European Junior Cycling Tour.

The Team RL360 Isle of Man rider has taken second spot in the category five general classification at the meeting with a total time of two hours, 24 minutes and 18 seconds - just eight seconds down on eventual GC winner Red Johnson of 360 Cycling.

Bass' final placing comes after he took victory in today's final criterium stage in Assen, Netherlands.

There were two other Team RL360 Isle of Man riders also involved in the tour in the form of Daniel Minay and Thomas Hutchinson.

Both contesting the category seven age group, Minay and Hutchinson finished 13th and 15th in the final standings respectively.

The five stages of the tour involved two circuit and two criterium races as well as an individual time trial stage.

Minay's best finish came in the stage three criterium as he crossed the line in sixth whilst Hutchinson managed eighth in the circuit race on stage two.
