Cycling: Becky Storrie signs new deal at Team dsm-firmenich

Manx rider commits to three more years at Women's WorldTour side

Isle of Man pro cyclist Becky Storrie has signed a new three-year deal with Team dsm-firmenich PostNL.

As a result, the Manx rider will remain with the Women's WorldTour side up until at least the end of the 2027 season.

Storrie is one of three competitors the team has awarded contract extensions to this week along with Eleonora Ciabocco and Matthew Dinham.

Speaking to the team's media, Storrie says: "At the end of 2022, the team took a chance on me and offered me an opportunity at a time I needed it the most.

"To spend three more years together is a real privilege and a commitment I take very seriously.

"My goal is to climb with the best and ultimately develop into the GC rider I know I'm capable of becoming."

Storrie's achievements this season so far include finishing 14th overall at the UAE Tour in February and managing a top-25 finish in the elite women's road race at the 2024 British National Road Championships in June.

However, it's also been a campaign where injuries have at times disrupted her schedule, most notably spending time out with three separate broken collarbone injuries with two of those coming at the Giro D'Italia Women in July and the Tour de France Femmes the following month respectively.

Team dsm-firmenich PostNL head coach Rudi Kemna adds that the Island-born athlete has a 'fantastic attitude' and that if she continues to develop 'her natural abilities on the bike will begin to shine through.'
