Back-to-back wins for Manx side on opening day
It's been an emphatic start of the Isle of Man Women's T20 cricket team on the opening day of the Women's Continental Cup in Romania today (4 August).
The Manx side got their tournament off to a blistering start this morning beating Greece by ten wickets with a score of 98-0 after their opponents were all out at 89-8.
During the contest, Lucy Barnett managed a half-century and finished on 56 not out whilst teammate, Kim Carney, also put in a positive batting display on 22 not out.
Into the afternoon, and the Isle of Man faced the hosts Romania and won in equally impressive fashion beating them by ten wickets.
Having bowled out the hosts for 41, another unbeaten opening partnership from Barnett and Carney saw the Island side sweep to the win.
The Isle of Man will face Malta tomorrow (5 August) with the tournament running until Sunday (6 August).
