Cricket: Crosby crowned Tinker Cup winners

Hartmann leads Crosby to 59-run victory

Crosby CC beat Finch Hill CC by 59 runs at Marown to win the Tinker Cup.

Finch Hill won the toss and elected to field first on Sunday (1 September) which put Crosby in to bat first.

Crosby made 132/4 in their first ten overs with Carl Hartmann top scoring with 55 off 25 balls, however it was not enough to take the lead at the half-way stage as Finch Hill made 139/3.

It was not to matter though as Crosby then scored 192/6 in 20 overs which set Finch Hill a target of 186 runs to win the game.

Finch Hill then struggled to reach the total as they could only made 126/8 after 20 overs to give the Tinker Cup to Crosby.
