Island athlete excels for Great Britain in India
Isle of Man long-distance athlete Sarah Webster claimed three medals during this year's IAU World 100km Championships in India.
Representing Great Britain & Northern Ireland, Webster took individual bronze in the women's race completing the course in Bangalore in seven hours, 19 minutes and 18 seconds.
There was collective success also as the GB & NI female squad took team silver, beaten only by France and with the USA in third.
Taking place within the same race was the World Masters Championship in which the Western AC competitor took gold for the FV45 category class.
Her individual bronze was GB & NI's first individual medal at the 100km World Championships since Jo Zakrzweski in Spain in 2016.
Webster has excelled yet again in 2024 with just some of her achievements including successfully defending her 100km Anglo Celtic Plate title in Scotland in March.
