It's the second time in just over two months the record has been slashed

An Isle of Man track relay record has been broken for the second time in the space of just over two months.

The Men's Under-20 4x400m squad of Regan Corrin, Ryan Corrin, Matt Davis and Sam Perry recorded a time of three minutes, 27.3 seconds at the final North of England Track & Field League fixture of the season in Wavertree, Liverpool on Saturday, 17 August.

That's 3.9 seconds quicker than the benchmark set before that at the second round of the competition in Leigh in June this year.

Three of the four current team members of Regan and Ryan Corrin as well as Perry were in the squad which set the last record there of three minutes, 31.4 seconds along with Ben Sinclair.

Prior to that, the previous best had come courtesy of Conor Delabanque, Mark Lean, Tom Richmond and Michael Haslett all the way back in 2008.
