Two and three-wheeled action at Jurby for final meeting of 2024

For the final time this campaign, racing action will be taking place at Jurby Airfield this weekend with Andreas Racing Association (ARA).

Following the conclusion of the ARA championship season last month, the final date of the organisation's 2024 calendar will be held on Saturday (12 October) with its four-hour endurance event.

Along with the local competitors expected to be involved, off-Island riders and teams are also due to use the event to their advantage including WizNorton Racing and their Manx Grand Prix rotary machinery.

ARA Chair Linda Alton-Heath says whilst there are no championship points up for grabs, there are plenty of benefits for individuals and teams who take part:

The four-hour endurance race will be split into two formats - the 'true endurance' involving one bike used by several riders and the 'relay' race which will involve multiple riders and machines.

There will also be three-wheeled racing taking place during the day with the Sidecar Dash for Cash with the field expected to include reigning ARA sidecar driver and passenger champions, Jim and Ben Gale.

Machines are first due out on track on the day at 9.30am followed by the sidecar race at 11am.

The four-hour endurance event is then scheduled to start at 12pm.

Entry for spectators will be £6 for adults whilst it's free to attend for Under-16's.
