MotoGP World Champion in 2006 Nicky Hayden is to visit the Isle of Man during this year's TT.
The American will be on the Island on Wednesday, June 8 when he will start and present the trophy for the second Supersport race
Sports editor Tim Glover reports (text, below, from attached audio file):
Nicknamed the 'Kentucky Kid', Hayden will ride around the mountain course in the Arai parade lap with five-time world champion Mick Doohan and eight-time TT winner Ian Hutchinson.
Hayden is the Ducati teammate of Valentino Rossi and is currently fourth in the standings after the opening two races of the new season.
This year will be the third in a row that a current MotoGP star has come to the TT, after Rossi visited in 2009 and Jorge Lorenzo last year.
Following his trip to the Island, Hayden will be at Silverstone for the British MotoGP round.
