Rainfall record broken at Ronaldsway
The last 24 hours have been the wettest for any April on record.
Ronaldsway Met Office marked 41.8mm of rainfall overnight, a number that continues to rise.
The previous wettest April day before now was in 1971 when 38.5mm fell.
The heavy rain overnight led to some commuter woes this morning with large areas of standing water around the Island.
"It's pretty unheard of for the rain to be this bad."
