Weather 'not looking good' for MGP action today

Contingency sessions may need to be used

It's looking doubtful we'll see action around the Mountain Course today (21 August).

A yellow weather warning is in place until 3pm on Thursday with Ronaldsway Met Office forecasting gales and coastal overtopping. 

Last night's qualifying session was scrapped due to poor conditions. 

Clerk of the Course Gary Thompson told Manx Radio a number of factors go into deciding if racing can go ahead.

Speaking to Manx Radio yesterday afternoon (20 August) he also confirmed that the Department of Infrastructure has approved a number of contingency sessions for later this week:
