Some homes in the Colby area have had their water supplies interrupted this morning (Mon) after a contractor hit a water main.
Water Authority engineers are at the site in Main Road isolating the burst.
Supplies will be re-directed, but the Authority says some customers around Main Road will be without water for a time.
Householders are also being warned that when the water does come back on there may be a discolouring of supplies caused by the interruption to water flow. If this does happen they are advised to run the tap in the kitchen sink until the water runs clear.
The Authority is apologising for any inconvenience caused. Anyone who needs assistance is advised to call 695 999.
