Wall repair work given go-ahead

Sunken gardens maintenance to begin

Repairing the walls of the sunken gardens on Loch promenade has been given the go-ahead.

They were damaged by Storm Barra in December of last year and will cost in the region of £200k to put right. 

Douglas Borough Council leader, Claire Wells, says it's taken until now to get the go-ahead from insurers to begin the work:
