Views sought on improving environment and accessibility in Castletown

DoI opens Living Streets consultation

People are being asked for their views on how the general environment and accessibility within residential areas of Castletown can be improved.

The Department of Infrastructure is holding a consultation as part of the 'Living Streets' initiative.

The department says areas people may wish to consider include:

• Reducing non-essential traffic using the area as a shortcut
• Making some roads/streets one-way
• Making it easier for people to walk, wheel and cycle
• Slowing down traffic
• Improving on-road parking

For those wanting to give their views in-person there will be two drop-in sessions at Castletown Civic Centre next month.

On Wednesday 13 November between 10am and midday and between 2pm and 4pm on Thursday 21 November.

Meanwhile, you have until 21 January to give feedback via the online survey.

You can find more information, including a link to the survey, HERE.
