An Isle of Man vicar accused of stealing over £12,000 has appeared before the deputy high bailiff.
Fifty-five-year-old Canon David John Green, who is currently suspended from his position as vicar of Maughold, faces eight counts of theft and ten of false accounting.
The offences were allegedly committed between 2002 and 2008.
Canon Green was bailed in the sum of £1,000 and will appear again on September 7, when the mode of trial will be decided.
The prosecution questioned whether the case was serious enough to be heard in a court of General Gaol.
