Nearly three quarters of Unite members balloted rejected current offer
A trade union has released the results of a ballot regarding the latest pay offer from the Public Services Commission.
Unite has confirmed 73.56 percent of members balloted rejected a two-year deal for a 4 percent pay increase this year, followed by 2.5 percent next year.
Meanwhile around a quarter - 24.9 percent - accepted it and 1.52 percent spoiled their ballot.
It joins fellow union Prospect, whose members also rejected the offer.
The PSC has confirmed it will be meeting today to discuss the outcome of the ballot by Prospect and Unite.
