Slight monthly drop as vacancies rise
The Island's unemployment rate has fallen to its lowest level since 2004, whilst the number of job vacancies continues to rise.
Statistics released by the Cabinet Office in the August 2017 labour market report show 393 people are currently without work, down from 420 in July.
The figures show the annual unemployment rate in the Isle of Man now stands at 0.9%, down 0.1% on the previous month.
By the end of last month, 597 jobs were unfilled at the end of the month - sectors with the highest number of vacancies were catering, retail, health services and e-gaming.
The International Labour Organisation estimates 838 Islanders don't have jobs, from an economically active population 42,777 people.
