Environment Minister Phil Gawne had moved that the court received the Council of Ministers' Report on the Renewable Energy Target and approved its conclusion and recommendations.
The report suggested that a target of 80% reduction of 1990 greenhouse gas levels by 2050 should now be adopted . . a target some 37 years in the future.
However, the Environment Minister Phil Gawne says a global opportunity to underline the Island's green credentials now exists:
The court also unanimously supported the Council of Ministers' Report on Environment and Infrastructure Policy and its recommendations, which was debated at the same time.
