Tynwald pays tribute to retiring MLC

Legislative Council elections to take place on Tuesday 4 March

Next week (Friday 28 February), four vacancies will open up on the Legislative Council for a five-year term.

Fifteen candidates will be vying for a seat when an election is held on Tuesday 4 March.

Included in that number are three existing MLCs who want to be re-elected.

But one, Peter Greenhill, will be stepping down.

At this month's Tynwald sitting, President Laurence Skelly paid tribute to him:

We've been hearing from the 15 prospective candidates ahead of next month's election - in our Agenda and Perspective programmes.
