MHK says access to internet is a basic human right
Tynwald has backed calls for the communications regulator to investigate implementing social internet tariffs.
Arbory, Castletown and Malew MHK Jason Moorhouse put forward new proposals aiming to tackle digital exclusion as he believes current costs are proving prohibitive for some.
He wants the Communications and Utilities Regulatory Authority to ask internet service providers to draw up a 'cost neutral' solution those facing 'financial barriers' would be eligible for.
