Commissioners say works to make the path safe are 'cost prohibitive'
Two sections of the Raad Ny Foillan in Port Erin will remain closed for the foreseeable future.
Landslips occurred on the coastal footpath in 2023 and 2024 and quotes to clear the damage are 'cost prohibitive' according to Port Erin Commissioners.
The local authority says that it wants to carry out additional repairs and stabilisation works might be required before the paths can be reopened safely to the public.
Allocation of 'appropriate' funding will be considered by the board during it budgeting process for the next financial year.
