easyJet and Loganair services were affected after ground-handling issue
Flights at Ronaldsway Airport were disrupted last night after a ground-handling tug developed a fault, leading to the cancellation of one service and the overnight delay of another.
The easyJet flight to Gatwick and Loganair service to Edinburgh were both affected.
In a video seen by Manx Radio, the captain of the easyJet flight informed passengers that the tug had suffered a flat tyre.
The Department of Infrastructure has since confirmed the issue involved a tyre on a tug belonging to ground-handlers Menzies.
The fault could not be resolved before the airport's published closure time, resulting in the cancellation of the Edinburgh flight and an overnight delay for the Gatwick service.
The disruption has not caused any knock-on effects today, with flights now departing on schedule.
