Icy conditions caused two accidents on the Tholt-y-Will Road today.
The first, which happened at the Mountain Road end at about 6.50am, involved a silver Toyota Corolla.
About an hour later, with police still at the scene, a green Vauxhall Corsa flipped onto its roof further up the Tholt-y-Will Road.
Sergeant Juan Clague of the Northern Neighbourhood Policing Team says warnings about the icy conditions were posted on the electronic boards at each end of the Mountain Road.
However, motorists shouldn't assume the gritters have been out, particularly on the side and minor roads.
There were no injuries in either of the incidents.
