Treasury: Island reserves 'solid' but 'we must be prudent'

Allinson describes first days as treasury minister

The Isle of Man's financial reserves remain 'solid' but government must remain sensible going forward.

That's according to the newly-appointed treasury minister.

Dr Alex Allinson moved from his enterprise minister role to take up the post following the resignation of David Ashford.

He's told Manx Radio his immediate priority remains tackling the rising cost of living.

And he says the value of the TT, which gets underway this weekend, is 'important':
