Demand to travel stronger now than pre-Covid
The director of a travel company on the Isle of Man says since the end of the coronavirus pandemic the need for travel has been on the increase.
This week marks five years since the Isle of Man Government started implementing restrictions.
One of those restrictions centred around travel and those who arrived on the Island from 17 March 2020 would need to self-isolate for 14 days.
Looking back, Tony Lawrence of Vannin Travel says nobody could have predicted the scale of what would happen.
“We knew the whole world would be affected with the complete shutdown of global tourism and restrictions but on the Island the borders closed which was devastating for tourism and businesses that rely on it.”
