The Department of Economic Development is defending its figures on the money made for the Isle of Man by the TT.
On Tuesday it was announced £19 million was brought in by visitors to the 2010 event, at an average spend of around £620 per person.
The department's political member with responsibility for tourism Geoff Corkish, MHK, accepts that the figure includes people's travel costs, the money from which goes to the off-Island owners of the transport companies.
