The Manx companies harnessing technology in Covid effort

Manx engineering and manufacturing businesses play part in pandemic

Symptom tracking apps to Ozone sterilisers - there are a number of Manx manufacturing and engineering businesses playing a wide-ranging role in supporting, protecting and informing us, during the coronavirus pandemic.

Some businesses have been harnessing different technologies in various ways.

Dion Croom is the CEO of Health Monitoring Services Limited, which has developed an app to track symptoms, among other features.

Meanwhile, based at the Freeport, Henson Ceramics Limited has developed an Ozone steriliser.

It's not just Covid-19 that Manx businesses have pooled their resources against.

Known locally as the kettle control company, Strix has had it's hand in developing a water purification and disinfection solution to prevent the spread of African Swine Fever Virus in livestock in China.
