'The Big Table' welcomes everyone

Weekly 'pay-what-you-can' lunch project in Peel

'Breaking bread and sharing your meal with those in need, both locally and globally' - that's how a new initiative in Peel has been described.

Led by the Cathedral, 'The Big Table' invites people to eat lunch together, regardless of their means, for however much they can afford to pay.

The collection is then split between the project's partners, the Isle of Man Foodbank and the Mothers' Union's South Sudan Relief Fund.

Project leader John Boyes says it's about more than just feeding people:

The lunches are held in the Corrin Hall in Peel, every Monday between midday and 2pm.
