Treasury minister says sailing disruption is being 'closely monitored' by gov't
Supplies of food, fuel and essential medications to the Isle of Man are not currently at risk.
That’s the message from the treasury minister who says it’s something being ‘closely monitored’ by government’s Emergency Planning Strategic Group.
The Council of Ministers met this morning to discuss current disruption to Steam Packet services caused by industrial action being taken by some employees.
Alex Allinson says government expects to receive regular updates from the company adding it is ‘examining all avenues’ in order to deliver a ‘full and resilient transport service for Island residents and businesses'.
