Storm Éowyn: Meetings ongoing if weather changes

Gusts of up to 114mph have been recorded in Galway

The Isle of Man is now under a red weather warning for violent storm force winds.

Ronaldsway Met Office is warning of widespread disruption as Storm Éowyn hits Manx shores.

South or southwest winds – with gusts of around 85 miles per hour – are likely in exposed coastal areas and on higher ground.

The warning is in place until 2pm.

Stuart Davison says, as of 6am, Storm Eowyn hadn't yet made landfall of the North West Coast of Ireland however gusts of up to 114mph have been recorded in Galway.

Stuart says there's a lot of work going on behind the scenes with various government departments:

The Mountain Road is the only one that remains closed at the moment.

A number of trees are already down and affecting parts of the road.
