Steam Packet 'couldn't ignore' rising number of incidents involving groups of children

Revised policies have been created alongside DESC

The Steam Packet says it had no choice but to introduce stricter policies for travelling with children.

The ferry operator recently faced backlash for enforcing a ratio of one adult per five children for group bookings on its vessels.

Today, the company announced changes to its policies after working with the Department of Education, Sport and Culture.

The policy will now become one adult per eight children
