Isle of Man representation at the Special Olympics in China could be in jeopardy unless the team can raise another £20,000.
The overall cost of the trip for the 30 competitors and 12 coaches is £50,000, of which two thirds has already been collected.
Further fundraising events are in the pipeline, but Team Manager Graham Davies is hoping Island businesses and residents will respond to the appeal:
Smile of Mann programme to start in primary schools next year
Loganair passengers yet to be reunited with bags left in Manchester on Sunday
Kirk Michael man taking on 31 marathons in 31 days in memory of friend
Government grant partially funded fishing vessel later used for smuggling
