Sexual Health Centre temporarily closes for move

Will reopen in new location next week

Manx Care's Integrated Sexual Health team is moving to a new location in Douglas.

The existing clinic has now closed, and the new service will reopen to the public on Tuesday 12 November on Kensington Road.

Over the next week, patients will be able to contact the team via phone, whilst any appointments from 12 November will be held at the new location.

Manx Care says staff have been informing patients in the lead-up to this change and posters have been displayed in clinic to ensure patients were aware.

The new clinic will incorporate a fully integrated sexual health service, providing a ‘one stop shop’ for a full range of contraception options, testing, management and treatment of all sexually transmitted infections (STIs) including HIV.

Amanda Dawson, Lead Nurse for Integrated Sexual Health Services, said: "We are really excited about this move, which we believe will have an extremely positive impact on the care and support we can provide to our patients.

"The new, larger space offers more clinical rooms to address the demands of our ever-growing service.

"It is a modern space that is much more suitable for our service needs, and its location is more accessible for our patients."

The new centre is located at:
