International media reporting worldwide issues
The Isle of Man Government says a number of its websites have been 'temporarily taken offline as a precaution'.
It's confirmed it 'follows published advice from the National Cyber Security Centre'.
The sites 'will remain offline while urgent security patches are applied' to 'identified vulnerabilities'.
The websites affected include:
- All Isle of Man schools
- Isle of Man Post Office
- iMuseum
- Read the Signs
- Live traffic and road information
- Isle of Man Legislation
Reporting elsewhere appears to show two 'critical cyber-security flaws' have been found 'in a programming language which powers much of the internet'.
International governments and agencies have urged websites to address the issue.
