Classed as 'seafood to avoid' by Marine Conservation Society
A spokesperson from the Marine Conservation Society says she has 'serious concerns' about the fishing of queen scallops on the Isle of Man.
The UK-based charity has added the species to its list of 'seafood to avoid', as they ranked poorly in all areas of the organisation's rating system - from sustainability, to production and capture methods.
Fish Guide Manager, Charlotte Coombes, says the current process is not sustainable:
