Section of Braddan Road to be one-way for weeks starting today

The works are the first stage of a three-phase project of resurfacing in the area

A one-way system will be in place on a section of Braddan Road from today for approximately two weeks.

Resurfacing is taking place between the Noble's Hospital and Ballafletcher Road roundabouts - as a result that section of road will run in one direction from the junction of Ballafletcher Road to the hospital.

Members of the public will be able to enter the hospital via the main drive but upon exiting will be diverted towards the Strang.

All other entrances to the hospital site will still be available.

Elsewhere, Strang Road will be made one-way towards Union Mills from the Strang roundabout.

Two-way traffic will be maintained between the roundabouts at the Strang and the hospital.

The Department of Infrastructure adds the frequency of buses to the Strang and Noble's Hospital will be maintained and school bus services won't be affected.

The works are the first stage of a three-phase project of resurfacing in the area expected to take around three weeks in total.
