It's as Storm Isha is expected to batter the Island with strong south or southwest winds, increasing to severe gale force during the evening.

Now, we have been warned to expect coastal overtopping, as those winds hit around the time of high tide this evening (20 January).

The warning is in place from 6pm until 8:30pm - with high tide expected at 7:10pm.

The areas most likely to be affected include: Shore Road in Rushen, Castletown promenade, the northern end of Douglas prom and to a lesser extent Laxey prom and Ramsey prom.

Today's sailings have already been affected, and Loganair is offering free flight changes to its customers ahead of the deteriorating conditions.
