Public urged to vote for favourite locally produced dish or drink
People on the Isle of Man are being urged to vote for their favourite Manx dish.
One-hundred-and-six entries, from 59 Island businesses, have been put forward as part of this year’s Manx Menu contest.
The six-week competition aims to showcase local produce and ‘stimulate demand’ for hospitality venues during February and March.
Robert Hunter is the Chef Lecturer at University College Isle of Man and a Manx Menu judge:
The Manx Menu initiative has been developed by Business Isle of Man and Visit Isle of Man in collaboration with the board of Hospitality Isle of Man.
It’s now in its second year; winning businesses will receive marketing and promotional support from a prize fund of almost £10,000.
Entries include takeaway dishes, small and large plates, desserts and cocktails; there is also an award for customer service.
The vote closes on 31 March; you can find out more HERE.
