Are there 'unexplored' options which could ensure its survival?

Arbory and Rushen Commissioners have described the decision to scrap the Cregneash bus route for financial reasons as 'madness'.

The local authority says it goes against government’s Local Economy Strategy and there could be ‘unexplored’ options which could see it maintained.

Commissioner Jane Glover says the Number 28 route is a 'vital' link for residents and also to a key heritage site which shouldn't be 'cut off'.

The Department of Infrastructure says it is 'no longer financially viable' and despite holding talks with a private operator, the Department for Enterprise and Manx National Heritage no funding offers were received.

The decision has sparked a number of complaints - you can find out more HERE.

Local Democracy Reporter Emma Draper has been speaking to Mrs Glover:

The Department of Infrastructure has been contacted for comment.
