A former Isle of Man resident who worked as Jimmy Savile’s chauffeur has been arrested in the UK.
71-year-old Ray Teret was arrested at an address in Altrincham in Cheshire following allegations of sexual abuse.
He ran a shop on the Quayside in Douglas in the 1980s and has family connections to the Island. Greater Manchester Police say none of the allegations relate to Jimmy Savile.
Mr Teret has been bailed until November 29 while police inquries continue.
