Robinson’s to open new bakery after acquiring Ross Bakery brand

Retailer to 'continue relationship' with Noa Bakehouse alongside deal

Robinson's is set to open a new bakery early next year following its acquisition of the Ross Bakery brand.

The retailer says the project will become a 'cornerstone' in efforts to 'enhance local food security and reinforce the Isle of Man's bakery sector'.

The company has offered assurances that it will continue its 'longstanding and strong relationship' with Noa Bakehouse alongside this deal.

Earlier this year Ross Bakery was listed for sale through Signature Acquisitions.

In a statement Robinson's said: 'As a family business, with deep roots in the Isle of Man, Robinson’s has a rich history of working hand in hand with local producers and growers.

'We hope our passion for community, sustainability, and quality will shine through in every loaf we bake.

'Our commitment to supporting local growers and producers is steadfast, and this venture will be no exception.

'We look forward to providing you with the freshest and most delicious baked goods.'

The bakery will be overseen by Ross Bakery founder Simon Ross.

Ross Bakery says the bakery will open in early 2024 adding it’s a ‘really positive move’ for the Island and a ‘well-kneaded’ good news story.

It adds that it will be ‘business as usual’ whilst the new bakery is built.
