
Amber weather warning in place due to snow and ice
UPDATE: Richmond Hill has now reopened. Police say the road is passable with care.
Meanwhile, Summerhill Road has now CLOSED.
Police are urging motorists to think about their journeys as snow and ice affect the Island's roads this morning.
An amber weather warning remains in place until midnight tomorrow.
A number of roads are closed, including the Old Castletown Road, the Mountain Road, Tholt-y-Will and Creg-ny-Baa Back Road.
Police have also shut the Ballagawne Road, Begoade Road as well as Douglas Road Corner to Ballig Bridge, and Braddan Road to Ballafletcher Road Roundabout.

Chief Constable Gary Roberts says officers are taking many calls for assistance from drivers and assures there is no safe route into Douglas from the South.
He says he speaks from experience having spent half an hour in a ditch on the Orrisdale Road after a 'slow motion slide'.

Isle of Man Transport says the conditions are impacting its services, with Bus Vannin describing the roads from Ballasalla to Douglas as impassable, as well as a number of areas in and around Douglas.
Avondale rd, ballachrink, royal avenue, birch hill, richmond hill, braid, anagh coar, pulrose are all impassable at present for buses,
