"A sure sign of climate change and cause for concern".
That’s how the Isle of Man co-ordinator for Friends of the Earth has described news the sea around the Island is getting warmer.
Results show last year was the warmest since records began in 1904.
The sea water temperature has risen one degree Celsius over the past century, and most of that increase has been since the mid 1990s.
Phil Corlett says it’s no surprise but the situation needs to be continually monitored:
