Second Superstock race cancelled with two parade laps also scheduled
An updated schedule has been confirmed for what, as it stands, will be the final race day of TT 2024.
The Mountain Road section of the TT course will shut tomorrow at 9am whilst all other roads around the course will then close at 10am.
First at 10.30am will be the Supersport TT Race 2 over a shorter two-lap distance before the Rutter Legacy Lap at 12pm.
That will then be followed by the Supertwin TT Race 2 - also over two laps - at 1.30pm before a BMW Classic 85th Anniversary parade lap takes place at 3pm.
The schedule for Saturday is then due to conclude with the Senior TT Race - to be held over four laps instead of six - at 4.15pm.
The Superstock TT Race 2 has been cancelled.
Roads around the course will then reopen no later than 9.30pm.
Explaining the decisions, organisers have released the following statement:
"The schedule for the final race day of 2024 Isle of Man TT Races will include three races. Having considered a range of operational issues, including rider and team workload and post-race parc ferme requirements, the 2024 PE Superstock TT Race 2 has been cancelled.
"The three races now scheduled will be the Monster Energy Supersport TT Race 2, Entire Cover Insurance Supertwin TT Race 2 and the Milwaukee Senior TT.
"To allow riders and teams adequate time in between each to recover and prepare, more time has been scheduled into the programme with the inclusion of the Rutter Legacy Lap and BMW Classic 85th Anniversary demonstration taking place during this additional time."
