Beamans finds shortfall of qualified staff
The Department of Infrastructure 'urgently' needs more project managers to oversee capital schemes.
That's according to an independent review by Beamans into the DoI's capability and capacity, which was published this week (14 June).
It says there's a shortfall of qualified project managers, and a 'weak supply chain' on Island, meaning its harder to bring in additional staff from elsewhere.
Beamans estimates a further seven qualified project and assistant project managers are needed, as well as training for existing staff.
