Record-breaking year for Manx Birdlife Christmas Bird Race

Two new species among 125 reported

Manx Birdlife has finished collecting data as part of its annual Christmas Bird Race.

The charity's been trying to encourage people to take an interest in the birds around them for the past seven days.

This year, a record 125 species were reported, including two new species - the Brambling and Yellowhammer.

Manx Birdlife is thanking everyone who took part, and is encouraging people to keep sending in reports and photographs here, to help build a rich picture of the Island's birds.
