Lamara Craine hopes there will be a contested election in the north in April
A Ramsey Commissioner says people are not 'interested' in being a commissioner and making decisions for their areas.
The local authority elections are being held in April and for a lot of the boards it could be their first public ballot in a number of years.
Lamara Craine says she hopes there will be a vote in Ramsey for the first time in 12 years and that new people stand for the other northern parishes in Spring.
The commissioners have had at least one uncontested election in either the north or south ward since 2012.
She's also wanting to encourage more women to join politics.
