
Plans have been drawn up for a new inter-governmental body which aims to improve cooperation between the Celtic countries.
The Celtic League produced its blueprint for a Celtic Council, and the resulting document was discussed at the league’s annual general meeting in Cornwall at the weekend.
Director of information Bernard Moffatt says the idea developed when a colleague heard him answer a question on the future of the organisation on Manx Radio.
In an interview, Mr Moffatt said there needed to be a reappraisal of what the Celtic League was about and what it was aiming for, in terms of co-operation between the Celtic countries:
